FOODS GIVE YOU IRON

Everybody knows the importance of iron in our bodies.

Why do we need iron?

Iron is responsible for producing hemoglobin, a key component of our red blood cells. Without sufficient iron, our bodies can’t produce enough hemoglobin, leading to a deficiency. This can have serious consequences, as oxygen won’t be able to reach every part of our body without hemoglobin.

But don’t take in too much iron. Iron oxidizes us, which means we will get older faster than normal. It is the same as when you put iron in the environment, then after it is rusted.

If you want to take iron from foods, you can choose plant-based food, especially in dark leafy greens like spinach, chocolate, or herbal tea; if the animal –food based, you can take chicken liver, duck liver, oysters, and mussels.

So, understanding your food helps your life better.
